Introduction to the Journal
Focusing on research works relevant to the fields of architecture and planning, the Journal of Research in Architecture and Planning (JRAP) explores issues of relevance to both scholars and practitioners. JRAP was initiated in 2000 and is a double blind peer reviewed journal published biannually since 2011. The two volumes are planned with papers conveying relevant topics from the field and compilation of slected peer received papers presented at the Conference of Urban and Regional Planning hosted by the Department of Architecture and Planning at NED UET. Paper contributions are accepted any time of the year and incorporated in upcoming issue after going through the peer review process. JRAP holds the privilege of being the first peer reviewed journal in the discipline of architecture and planning, published from Pakistan.
Aims and Scope
The primary objective of the Journal of Research in Architecture & Planning is to provide an international forum for the dissemination of research knowledge, new developments and critique in architecture, planning and related disciplines for the enrichment and growth of the profession. The journal focuses on papers with a broad range of topics related
to the discipline as well as other overlapping disciplines that contribute to architecture and planning. The JRAP publishes a wide range of research papers which deal with design, research and development studies; investigations of experimental and theoretical nature.
